Step 2. Create a Synchronization Setting for the Custom Object

The synchronization settings define the mappings of fields from the custom object to the CC360 bean.
  1. Based on the Salesforce environment that you use, perform one of the following tasks:
    • In Salesforce Classic, from the
      Setup
      section of the
      CC360 Admin
      tab, click
      Run the Setup Wizard
      .
    • In Lightning Experience, perform the following tasks:
      1. On the navigation menu, click
        CC360 Admin
        .
        The
        Manage CC360
        page appears.
      2. From the
        Setup
        section, click
        Run the Setup Wizard
        .
  2. Under
    Setup
    , click
    Sync Fields
    .
  3. In the
    Salesforce Sync Setup (Field Mapping)
    section, click
    New
    .
  4. In the
    New Sync Mapping
    section, select the custom object.
    The name of the synchronization setting should be the same as the API name of the custom object.
    You can filter the objects that are displayed in the
    Select an Object
    list.
    For example, if you enter
    Employee
    and click
    Filter Object Names
    , the objects that contain
    Employee
    in the object name appears in the
    Select an Object
    list.
  5. In the
    Record Type Information
    section, enter the record type for the custom object.
  6. Configure the mappings for the custom object fields on the bean in the following sections:
    • Contact Information
    • Company Information
      Company field mapping is required.
    • Address Information
    • Custom Information
  7. Optionally, in the
    Other Information
    section, configure the following settings:
    Keep Data after Object Deletion
    Saves a copy of the data in the data pool after deletion of the object in Salesforce. Default is disabled.
    Synchronize
    Synchronizes the corresponding Salesforce object such as Account, Lead, and Contact. Default is enabled. Synchronizes the corresponding Salesforce object such as Account, Lead, and Contact. Default is enabled.
    Quick Cleansing
    Accelerates the data cleansing process and reduces the number of script statements in the Salesforce triggers. Disable only during the initial data load and during migration, or if you experience problems with the order of execution of custom triggers. Default is enabled.
    Do Not Delete Bean after Unsynchronizing
    Saves the bean even if the Synchronize flag is disabled.
    Parent ID
    Mapping for Parent ID field on the bean. Specify the API name of the corresponding field on the bean.
    Record Type ID
    Mapping for Record Type ID field on the bean. Specify the API name of the corresponding field on the bean.
  8. Click
    Save
    .
