Step 1. Copy the Plug-in for a Universal XConnect

If you migrate a universal resource, you must copy the plug-in from the source environment to the target environment. Recycle the Metadata Manager Service in the target environment to import the XConnect and model.
If you are not migrating a universal resource, skip this step.
  1. Copy the plug-in .xar file from the Metadata Manager Service plug-ins directory in the source environment to the Metadata Manager plug-ins directory in the target environment.
The Metadata Manager Service plug-ins directory is the following directory:
    <Informatica services installation directory>\services\MetadataManagerService\mm-plugins\xconnect\<Metadata Manager Service name>
  2. In the Administrator tool in the target environment, recycle the Metadata Manager Service.
Recycling the service disables and enables the service.
Metadata Manager imports the XConnect and model in the target environment when the service is enabled.
After the Metadata Manager Service is enabled, open the Metadata Manager web application in the target environment, and verify that the model appears on the
Model
tab.
