Rules and Guidelines for Entities

Rules and Guidelines for Entities

You can add an entity to a data generation plan.
Read the following rules and guidelines before you use an entity to perform data generation:

If the entity contains IMS multirecord sources, you must edit the entity to specify the sequence. When you import the metadata from PowerCenter into Test Data Manager, the sequence information is not imported. Data generation tasks require sequence information for multirecord sources. Edit the entity to add sequence information. Click the
    Manage Sequence
button on the right-hand corner of the
    Entity Map
tab on the entity page to open the dialog box to enter the table sequence.
