To prevent users from editing or resetting a data set, you can lock the data set. You cannot make changes to the data or the metadata in a locked data set. The owner and the administrator can reset and edit a locked data set. Lock a data set if you need to check the data before you allow other users to edit or reset it. You can unlock the data set when you want to allow edits to the data set.
Open the data set and click the
Overview
or
Permissions
tab.
To lock the data set, click
Actions
Lock
.
The data set appears as locked in the
Data Sets
view. The
Edit
options do not appear in a locked data set.
To unlock the data set, click
Actions
Unlock
.
The status of the data set is updated in the
Data Sets
view. The
Edit
options appear in the data set.
If you lock a

self-service portal
, you restrict the tasks that you can perform on the
data pack
in the
self-service portal
.
The following users can perform tasks on a
