Creating a Parameter File

Creating a Parameter File

Create a parameter file to view the parameters in a plan and edit the parameter values before you run a workflow.
  1. Open a project and click
    Execute
    to view the project plans.
  2. Select the required plan.
    You can also open the required plan to view the
    Properties
    tab.
  3. Click
    Actions
    Create Parameter File
    .
    The file downloads to the default download location. You can use a text editor to view the parameter file from the location provided.
  4. If you configure the browser to prompt for a download location, you must enter a file path and file name.
    Click
    Save As
    to create and download the parameter file.
  5. Optional. To change parameter values in the file, enter the required values. To ignore criteria parameters, set the ignore flag to Y. Save the changes.
    Changes to parameters that you cannot override do not take effect.
To use the parameter values, select the file as the parameter file when you run the workflow.
