Creating Relationship Types

To create a relationship type, use the

Hierarchies

tool to add a relationship type to a relationship base object.

Acquire a write lock.

In the

Model

workbench, select the

Hierarchies

tool.

In the

Hierarchies

tool navigation pane, select the relationship base object for which you want to create a relationship type.

You cannot add a relationship type until you first select a relationship base object.

Select

Hierarchies

Add Relationship Type

The Hierarchies tool displays a relationship type with the name

New Rel Type

Edit the properties of the relationship type, and then click

Save
