Search with Elasticsearch Overview

Search with Elasticsearch Overview

You can use the
Data Director
application or a custom application to search for data within a specific business entity. Informatica recommends that you configure search with Elasticsearch, which is packaged with the MDM Hub installer.
The search with Elasticsearch replaces the search with Solr, which is deprecated.
Elasticsearch is an open-source, full-text search engine. You can set up Elasticsearch as a single node cluster or as a multi-node cluster to provide distributed indexing and search.
Before you perform a search, you must configure the Hub Server, the Process Server, and index the data. When you index the data, the MDM Hub processes the records and adds the indexed records to the Elasticsearch server. If the data is large for one node, you can use multiple nodes and split the index into multiple shards.
