Resource Configuration Files Overview

A resource configuration file is an XML file that contains all configuration properties and values for a resource. A resource configuration file has the .rcf file name extension.
The information in this appendix applies to resource configurations for packaged and universal resources. For information about resource configurations for custom resources, see the
Metadata Manager Custom Metadata Integration Guide
.
You can export resource configuration files, import resource configuration files, and change resource properties on the
Load
tab.
You can also export resource configuration files, import resource configuration files, and change resource properties through the following mmcmd commands:

createResource
Creates a resource based on the properties in the specified resource configuration file.
updateResource

assignConnection
