Configure Oracle with the Advanced Security Option

Configure Oracle with the Advanced Security Option

If you want to extract metadata from an Oracle database that uses the Advanced Security Option (ASO), you must perform additional tasks so that Metadata Manager can communicate with the database.
To enable Metadata Manager to communicate with the Oracle database, perform the following tasks:
  1. Configure the encryption type on the Oracle server.
  2. Configure the sqlnet.ora and tnsnames.ora files on the Oracle client machines.
  3. Download and extract the Java Cryptography Extension (JCE) policy files.
