Plug-in Structure

Plug-in Structure

The plug-in is an XAR file that defines the XConnect. You can use a file archive program to open the plug-in file and verify the structure.
To prevent damage to the plug-in, do not edit any file or directory in the plug-in. To change the plug-in, update the plug-in definition file or the icons, and then regenerate the plug-in.
The following hierarchy shows the structure of the plug-in:
META-INF MANIFEST.MF resources artifacts <owner>.<name>.bridges.xml <owner>.<name>.endpoint.txt <owner>.<name>.metamodel.xml <owner>.<name>.<source ID>.Resources.properties <owner>.<name>.<source ID>Options.xml <owner>.<name>.WhereUsed.properties mm-<owner>.<name>-xconnect.txt images <image files for the groups and classes in the model>
The plug-in contains the following directories:
META-INF
Contains the manifest file for the model, MANIFEST.MF. The manifest file specifies information such as the XConnect owner, Metadata Manager version, and model name.
resources\artifacts
Contains the artifact files required to create the model. In the artifact file names, the owner and name are defined in the plug-in definition file. The source ID is a shortened version of the sourcename that is defined in the plug-in definition file.
resources\images
Contains the icons for the groups and classes in the model.
