OS User Access Policy

OS User Access Policy

You can create access policies for operating system users. Create an operating system user access policy if you need to restrict access to segments but cannot specify a program, application, or database user.
For example, if your environment has business objects that connect to a general application schema, but you cannot identify the name of the program or database user, you can limit access with an operating system user access policy. The database stores the operating system user in the session variables table. Data Archive compares the operating system user in the session variable table to the operating system user assigned to the access policy within Data Archive. If the values match, Data Archive applies the policy you configured for the operating system user.
