Running External Match Jobs

Running External Match Jobs

  1. Populate the data in the C_
    BaseObject
_EMI table with a data loading process that is external to the
    MDM Hub
    .
  2. In the
    Hub Console
, start either of the following tools:
    • Batch Viewer
    • Batch Group
  3. Select the External Match job for the base object.
  4. Select the match rule set that you want to use for external match.
  5. Run the External Match job.
    • The External Match job matches all records in the C_
      BaseObject
_EMI table against the records in the base object. There is no concept of a consolidation indicator in the input or output tables.
    • The Build Match Group is not run for the results.
  6. Inspect the results in the C_
    BaseObject
_EMO table using a data management tool.
  7. If you want to save the results, make a backup copy of the data before you run the External Match job again.
    The
    MDM Hub
    destroys and recreates the C_
    BaseObject
_EMO table every time you run an External Match job.
