Transmitting the Output Files to the Target

Transmitting the Output Files to the Target

After Fast Clone completes the data unload job, you can either run the data load job remotely or transmit the output files to the target database system.
Typically, you run the data unload job and generate output files on the source database system.
Different strategies are available to transmit the output files to the target system. If the load utility for your target type is not installed on the source system, use one of the following strategies to transmit the output files:
  • Run a Fast Clone Server instance on the target system. On the
    Runtime Settings
    tab >
    Remote Server
    view, configure the Fast Clone Server to receive output files.
  • Manually transmit the output files to the target system by using FTP or another means. For example, archive the output files and then transfer them using FTP.
