Parallel Jobs

You cannot run two Data Privacy jobs, for example Data Privacy Purge, Data Privacy Export, or Data Privacy Export and Purge, in parallel and on the same application. You must either complete or terminate the previously running job to run another job on the same application. You can run Data Privacy jobs on different applications in parallel.

In addition to parallel Data Privacy jobs, you cannot simultaneously run any job that updates Data Vault metadata while a Data Privacy job is running on an application. Any parallel job fails with an error.

The following list contains the jobs that you cannot run while a Data Privacy job runs on the same application:

Update retention policy

Purge expired records

Add tagging

Update tagging

Remove tagging

Apply legal hold

Load external attachments

Restore external attachments from archive folder

Archive structured digital records

Restore file archive

Create materialized views

Refresh materialized views

Release of information index record

If a Remove Legal Hold job is in an error or running state, you cannot run any Data Privacy job on any application.
