Data transfer tasks

Use a

data transfer

task to transfer data from a source to a target. For example, you might use a

data transfer

task to transfer data from an on-premises database to a cloud data warehouse.

When you configure a

data transfer

task, you can augment the source data with data from a lookup source. Based on the source connection that you use, you can also sort and filter the data before you load it to the target.
