Data transfer task behavior changes

Data transfer
task behavior changes

Consider the following behavior changes when you convert a
synchronization
task to a
Data transfer
task:
  • If the
    synchronization
task has a lookup configured in the field mapping,
    Data Integration
creates a lookup source in the
    data transfer
task. The lookup field remains mapped to the target.
  • Data transfer
tasks display only technical field names in filters and field mappings.
  • Data transfer
tasks don't persist alphabetical sorting of fields in the database.
  • Data Integration
    converts saved queries in a
    synchronization
task to custom queries in the
    data transfer
task. Custom queries are not shared components.
  • Data Integration
doesn't retain schema snapshots of source connections when it converts a
    synchronization
    task to a
    data transfer
    task.
  • Data Integration
doesn't copy object metadata changes to objects in the
    data transfer
task. You can't edit object metadata in a data transfer task.
