Adding Resource Permissions

Adding Resource Permissions

Follow the instructions below to add permissions to a Resource:
  1. Permissions can be added to a Resource using the
    Add Permissions
    page. To access this page: 
    1. Log in as an Admin User with the Security Officer role.
    2. Click the
      Resources
      link from the main menu.
    3. Click the Resource type to work with.
    4. A list of Resources will be displayed.
    5. Click the icon next to the Resource for which you wish to edit the permissions.
    6. The current Resource permissions will be displayed.
    7. Click the  
      Add Permissions
      link (located towards the top of the page).
  2. To authorize users to the Resource:
    1. On the left side of the page, select (highlight) the users to assign to the Resource. Multiple entries can be selected by holding down the Ctrl or Shift key while clicking the mouse.
    2. Click the arrow.
    3. The selected users will move to the right side of the page.
  3. To authorize groups to the Resource:
    1. On the left side of the page, select (highlight) the groups to assign to the Resource. Multiple entries can be selected by holding down the Ctrl or Shift key while clicking the mouse.
    2. Click the arrow.
    3. The selected groups will move to the right side of the page.
  4. Select the permissions for the Users and Groups by clicking the
    Read
    ,
    Write
    and/or
    Use
    boxes.
  5. Click the
    Save
    button to apply the changes.
