Workflow Basics Guide

Preface

Preface

Use the
PowerCenter® Workflow Basics Guide
to learn how to create, run, schedule, and to monitor workflows and sessions.
You can create and configure a workflow in the Workflow Manager. Workflows are a set of instructions to run the mappings build in Designer. Workflows can contain a session and other tasks, such as an email notification. You can also schedule a workflow. You can also create worklets, which are objects that contain a set of tasks to reuse a set of workflow logic.
You can monitor the workflows and sessions in the Workflow Monitor. You can view the status of the workflows and sessions in the log and you can review detailed log events from each service in the domain.
