Creating a Session Task

Creating a Session Task

Create the Session task in the Task Developer or the Workflow Designer. Session tasks created in the Task Developer are reusable.
  1. In the Task Developer or Workflow Designer, click Tasks > Create.
  2. Select Session Task for the task type.
  3. Enter a name for the Session task. Do not use the period character (.) in Session task names. PowerCenter does not allow a Session task name with the period character.
  4. Click Create.
  5. Select the mapping you want to use in the Session task and click OK.
  6. Click Done.
