Restored State and Schedule Frequencies

Restored State and Schedule Frequencies

In a highly available domain, the Integration Service restores the scheduled state of workflows based on the scheduled frequency.
The following scheduler configurations determine how the Integration Service restores the scheduled state:
The workflow is configured to run at a specific time.
When the Integration Service restores the scheduled state, it determines whether a scheduled run was missed. If the workflow did not miss a scheduled run, it runs at the next scheduled time. If the workflow missed a scheduled run, the Integration Service schedules it to run immediately.
The workflow is configured with a repeat frequency.
When the Integration Service restores the scheduled state, it determines how many more times the workflow is scheduled to run and begins the schedule at that point. It does not determine missed workflow runs. For example, you configure a workflow to run five times, and the workflow stops or aborts after it runs two times. When the Integration Service restores the schedule, the workflow runs three more times beginning with the next scheduled time.
The workflow is configured to run continuously.
The Integration Service restores the scheduled state and begins running the workflow immediately.
If you restart the Integration Service or choose a different Integration Service for a workflow, you must reschedule workflows that are not scheduled to run continuously. The Integration Service reschedules workflows that are scheduled to run continuously. The Integration Service also reschedules workflows in a folder if you copy the folder.
