Designing the Data Director User Interface Overview

Designing the Data Director User Interface Overview

You can design the
Data Director
user interface to add, edit, and manage records and to manage tasks. To design the user interface, create an application and user interface components, and then assemble the components into layouts.
When you design the
Data Director
user interface, you design layouts for the
Home
page, additional pages, and record views. If the user interface requirements change, you can update the layouts that you created.
To design the user interface, use the Application Editor, the Component Editor, and the Layout Designer in the Provisioning tool. The user interface can contain primary, secondary, and custom components. You can create custom components in the Component Editor. After you create the custom components, use the Layout Designer to select a layout template, and then drag and assemble the components that you want in the layout.
