Configuring a Cleanse Transformation

Configuring a Cleanse Transformation

When you map a business entity field to a view field, you can choose to cleanse the data with a cleanse transformation. The cleanse transformation cleanses data for write operations on that particular business entity view.
  1. Click
    Business Entity
    Transformations
    , and then select
    View to Business Entity
    .
  2. Select the view to business entity transformation.
  3. In the tree view panel, select
    Transformations
    , and then click
    Create
    .
  4. In the properties panel, specify the following properties:
    Property
    Description
    Name
    Unique name for the transformation.
    Status Output
    Output column in the cleanse function that indicates whether the cleanse function validated the data from the business entity. Use to validate the output of the cleanse function.
    Status Success
    Specifies the value that the cleanse function returns when the data in the status output column is successfully validated. If the status output and status success values are provided, any value in the status output column other than the status success value is displayed to the end user as an error message. Use this property to validate the output of the cleanse function.
    Type
    The type of transformation. Select
    cleanse
    .
    Cleanse Library
    Specifies the cleanse library that contains the cleanse function that you want to use to transform the data.
    Function
    Specifies the cleanse function that you want to use to transform the data.
    Input Parameters
    Specifies the view field to use as an input to a business entity field. To specify the view field, click the
    Browse
    button next to the
    input
    field.
    Output Parameters
    Specifies the business entity field to receive the transformed data. To specify the business entity field, click the
    Browse
    button next to the
    output
    field.
    Value
    Optional. Can be used to enter an input constant to use as a value separator when you use functions such as
    Concatenate
    .
