Default Record Views

Default Record Views

The default record views use preconfigured layouts that contain a primary component, but do not contain any secondary or custom components. The default record views appear as tabs in open records in
Data Director
.
You might want the default record views to appear when you begin designing layouts so that users can view and manage records. After you design custom record views, you can hide the default record views to reduce confusion for your end users.
The following set of default record views can be hidden or shown as a group:
Business Entity view
Displays the details of a record in a form layout. End users can view or edit records based on their user role permissions. This record view layout contains the Record Details component.
Cross-reference Records view
Displays the source data that contributed to the master record and unmerge records. This record view layout contains the Cross-reference Records component.
History view
Displays past changes to a record. This record view layout contains the History component.
Matching Records view
Displays a merge comparison panel to find and add potential duplicate records, select values you want to override or promote, view the merge preview, and merge the open record with the duplicate records. This record view layout contains the Matching Records (Advanced) component.
