Overview of Process Deployment Steps

The following illustration shows how you can take your BPEL process from design to deployment.
  1. In Process Developer, import WSDL or service references to your project as needed, create the BPEL file and the Process Deployment Descriptor (
    .pdd
    ) file. See Creating a Process Deployment Descriptor File for details.
  2. In Process Developer, create and export the process deployment package (
    .bpr
    ) file. See Creating and Deploying a Business Process Archive Contribution for details.
Once the process is deployed, it becomes active when an initial receive activity (or pick or event) receives a message.
