Component Security

You can configure secure communication between the EDS components and between the source and target services.
EDS uses HTTP and UM to communicate between components. It uses SSL over HTTP to secure communication between components.
When you install EDS, you can enable secure communication for the Edge Data Streaming service. You can set up secure configuration. You can also secure the connection between web application and browsers.
You can enable secure communication in the following areas:
  • EDS components. You can secure HTTP communication for the Administrator Daemon, the Administrator tool, and the EDS Node.
  • Data storage.
  • Source services and target services.
